Divine Chocolate logo

Divine is the only Fairtrade chocolate company which is 45% owned by the farmers.

While Fairtrade ensures farmers receive a better deal for their cocoa and additional income to invest in their community, company ownership gives farmers a share of Divine’s profits and a stronger voice in the cocoa industry. Now, that’s honest, ethical business!

The Divine website explains how the company was created and tells the story of chocolate from 'bean to bar', and you can see the farmers take a real pride in the quality of their cocoa.

Why do we love Divine?

Because they're putting people first; The actual aim of Divine Chocolate is to "improve the livelihood of smallholder cocoa producers in West Africa by Divine cocoa growerestablishing their own branded proposition in the UK chocolate market..." as opposed to the usual suspects who aren't sharing any of the money.
They also happen to make some seriously delicious chocolate treats including Dubble bars, which are apparently meant for kids...
